▶ Topic : Twenty years later, people would not have more leisure time
People have different ideas on our life style in the near future. Some people think that quality of our life would be increased and have more time to enjoy leisure time. However, I have a different idea. When it comes to the statement, “Twenty years later, people would not have more leisure time”, I have to agree with it for two reasons.
First of all, as global population grows, people would compete each other to make better earnings. In other words, so many people are forced to compete because they hope to get a good workplace which is limited while demographic population still increase. According to the annual report, approximately 15% of people are fired from their workplace, who failed to win in that fierce competition. Those who won and survived in the competition would still work more and develop themselves in order to survive in the next, and the next competition countinuoulsy. Therefore, increase in our population would make our life fiercer and would not allow us to have a free time.
Most importantly, development of technology would not allow us to have more free time. In other words, even scientific technology would upgrade the electronic materials such as phone and computer that would increase efficiency of our work, we would have much more workloads to handle. For example, few decades ago, people imagined that future technology would positively influence our life and would have more leisure time thanks to the automatically processed work system. However, nowadays, people have much more works to do compared to the past and do not have the time to take care of themselevs.
All in all, I disagree with the idea that people would have more leisure time in 20 years for several reasons. First, as population grows, people would spent threi time to work more than just sit and enjoy in order to survive in the competition. Secondly, even scientific technology increase work efficiency, people would have far much more workloads in turn. |
