There is an argument over whether increasing teachers’ salaries is the best way to improve the quality of education. Some people might believe that high salaries of teachers guaranteed the quality of students’ acknowledge as people will think that they put in more effort on education. My view, however, is that it is impossible to connect between increasing teachers’ salaries and the quality of education. This is largely because the knowledge level of teachers can only lead to the best quality of education. Moreover, expenditure that spent on teachers’ salaries caused students to study in poor environment.
To begin with, the quality of education is proportion to teachers’ acknowledge. If a teacher has a lot of information that involved the comprehensive school life, students would be likely to be motivated and learn many things. As a result, children study better more than before. For example, when I was in high school, my history teacher always tell student the story which related to historical events. As my classmates were eager to listen to more stories, they put in more effort to study in history. Naturally, that situation made my class to be first class in history exam. As my personal example shows, the best way to improve the quality of education is only to increase knowledge level of teachers.
Furthermore, increasing teachers’ salaries is detrimental effect on children’s education. In the respect of school, much money should be spent on teachers’ salaries. Accordingly, the money is not used to children’s’ educational purpose. In this sense, imposing a high salaries of teachers allow their students to be poorly educated. Suppose you are science teacher. Many classes are required to many materials. And therefore, you should buy other experiment tools. However, because of increasing salaries, schools do not have the ability to support their science classes. Consequently, having high salaries of teachers are connected to lower quality of student’s education.
To summarize, I firmly agreed with the opinion that increasing teachers’ salaries is not the best way to improve the quality of education considering the fact that teachers’ knowledge helps to grow up the students. In addition, limited cost which used to increase salaries of teaching people gives the problem to improve their student on material that they study in class. |
