Nowadays, social or political issues are very sensitive topic, and many people avoid talking about it with others. Since people have different or even opposite social or political point of views, talking about it can hurt each others' feelings. However, there are some teachers that make their social or political view known to students in the classroom, despite the fact that this topic can be very sensitive even for adults. And I strongly believe that teachers shouldn't make their stands or views known to students since doing so has many negative aspects. To begin with, children, especially if they are young, can end up have-> having biased views or stands from constantly hearing certain social or political views from their teachers. Since children are not mentally mature enough to doubt or judge the teacher's words, they would accept whatever their teachers tells them, even when it is biased. For example, when I was in third grade, our social studies teacher often talked about Dokdo, a controversial issue over Japan and Korea. She told us that Dokdo is Korean territory, and the Japanese are trying to still it from us. Although the part about Dokdo being Korea's territory was true, the way she described Japanese people was very offensive, and it made us have negative emotions over Japan. As a result, some students bullied a girl in our class whose mother was Japanese, and she ended up moving to another school. Hence, teachers should not make their social or political views known to students, especially if it is biased, since students, unlike adults, are very immature and might end up doing bad things, or even crimes. ->Hence, teachers shouldn't make their social or political views known to students if they are biased, since unlike adults, students are very immature and might end up doing bad things or even crimes.
Furthermore, social or political topics might make students feel uncomfortablein class since the teachers' point of views can be different or opposite from their parents' point of views. And if so, children might feel guilt or get confused when they realize the fact that the two subject that they most trust are having conflicts. For example, my sister's first grade teacher once told her class about some political issues and his views about them. And since it contained some criticism about certain party, my parents was-> were not happy when she came back and told us about it. Therefore, children are immature, and teachers should be careful on what they tell them, since children usually believe whatever their teachers tell them. 다시 옮겨쓰다가 보니까 실수들이 보이길래 몇개는 고쳐봤는데 저기 진하게 표시된부분 좀 더 정확하게 고쳐주시거나 다른 부분들 잘못된것들 좀 적어주세요... |
