I disagree with the statement that movies and television have more negative effects than positive ones on young people’s behavior. There are several reasons for this suggestion.
First of all, I think that movies and television have more positive effects than negative ones on young people’s behavior. This is because movies and television can provide many benefits to young people. My case is a good example of this. Since I am a college student, I get too much stress from my studying, and I am constantly worried about the unstable future. I often stay up all night to gain good grade from school exams, to get term paper done on time, and to prepare for English tests like TOEIC and TOEFL to lend a good job. In my stressful life, I can relieve my stress by watching movies and comic TV programs on weekend. If there were no enjoyable things like those, I could not have been enduring my heavy tasks.
In addition, young people can learn how they live their lives well through movies and television.
Last year, I watch a television program about Steve Jobs’ life. . At that time, I suffered from getting stress from my future. When Steve Jobs was kicked out of Apple, the company he built, he did not know what to do. Although he felt frustrated for a while when he was fired, he never gave up on what he loved. Steve Jobs even considered being fired from Apple a blessing of disguise. The experience of being fired was harmful but made him more creative in order to survive. He started a new company. When he returned to Apple, the technology he had developed in the new company provided a basis for the i Pod and the i Pad. By watching this program, I found that if Steve Jobs had gave up on what he loved, Apple could not have become successful as it is now. Then, I decided to do so, too, like Steve Jobs. I learned an invaluable thing through the program
In conclusion, I strongly disagree with the given statement for the reasons mentioned above. |
