▶ Your Answer : Various opinions may exist over which facilities universities should put more funding into, academic facilities or sport amenities. With respect to this subject, many people are liable to think that more libraries must be built for students in a campus. That being said, from another point of view, supplying for physical activities could be more likely to have advantages in many ways. I also have the same idea on the matter with some certainty for the following two reasons. To begin with, student's health has something to do with academic success. Given that the time students spend on their major, the healthier they are, the more time they can spend studying. This being so, this difference can cause the changes in scores of their majors. To explain this, I will illustrate my compelling experience as an example. When I was a college student, I prepared the exam to enter Bank of Korea. I used to study 10 hours a day on average. Although a tremendous amount of time was used to study, I was not able to concentrate solely on my text books since I felt tired after studying more than 6 hours. So I tried to exercise in my dormitory with running and lifting dumb bells in order to overcome my exhausted stamina. Afterward, since I had exercised once a week, I could focus more on my test contents and I even studied for more than 10 hours in those days. Therefore, I finally got a permission from the job and I realized that had it not been for the athletic activities in my campus, I could have not entered the Bank of Korea. On top of that, provided that people have healthy body, they are more likely to have well-balanced minds. Fresh and well-trained body allows people to be more relaxed, so they can have enough time to think more of the certain matter since they can have more capacities to solve the problems with their good condition. There was a poll conducted by the Ministry of Education with 500 college students with respondents. The purpose of this survey was to ascertain the relationship between the fitness of body and their motivations. An overwhelming 80 percent had responded that they had eager to do something when they felt in good condition. Also, they had answered that people needed to have time to rearrange their body condition before taking over a project. This corroborates the aforementioned idea that the healthy body makes people more active. In a nutshell, it hardly comes to the convincing conclusion everyone agrees with. However, taking the two reasons described above into consideration, it is clear-cut that constructing more amenities for athletics can have more positive influences on students.
