▶ Your Answer :
Various opinions may exist over the argument that it is important to know about world events, even if it is not important to my daily life. As far as I am concerned, I am in complete agreement with the argument. The two ideas stated below can be sufficient evidence to support my agreement. First of all, people should know about world events. This is because it can be revitalizing, offering an effective outlet for releasing stress and tension. As society becomes more complex and faster-changing, people are increasingly tied up by heavy workloads. The result is frustration, as we feel pressure to handle tons of work. Because learning about world events is an exhilarating activity, however, it help people relieve their stress and tension. In this context, it is important for people to know about varied world events. My own case is a good example of this. In my daily work, I am swamped with lots of tasks. In addition, I have to face difficulties arising from complex relationships with my co-workers and bosses. By the end of each day, I return home feeling drained and gloomy. I then study about world events through internet. To my astonishment, even if it is only a brief moment, I feel deeply composed, and gain some distance from my stress-ridden daily routine. I also feel energized and ready for another day of struggle with the hustle and bustle of life. Moreover, studying about world events is useful in that it encourages people to have stronger ties with others around them. In today’s competitive society, people are under great pressure to outpace others, and thus lack time to be with their families and friends. As a result, people are less emotionally attached to their families and friends than they were in the past. By learning together and sharing fun, however, they can sustain solid relationships with their friends as well as friends. Therefore, the value of learning about world events cannot be overlooked, even if it is not related to their life. According to a recent survey in Health Magazine, nearly two thirds of respondents felt that they could restore their bonds through studying about world events and being together. They also argued that they could exchange ideas and develop sympathetic bonds with their families and friends while learning about world events. This increases emotional attachment and, by extension, social awareness. All in all, my discussion above presents two strong arguments for knowing about world events which I believe effectively convince the reader. | |
