There has been a controversy over whether or not when asking a friend who is good at a subject for help about the subject is better than asking a professional tutor for help. Although some people may hold different opinions, I strongly believe that getting help from a professional tutor is beneficial to get extra help in schoolwork. In this essay, I will provide two reasons to support my point of view.
First of all, professional tutors have great experience about teaching students. There are students who have a variety type of questions, knowledge, and understanding about a subject they need help. By dealing with these students, the tutors learn efficient skills for giving the students responses about the questions easily and properly. For example, they may use proper graph, examples, and charts to elucidate an concept which students are confusing, so students can easily understand or solve their problems about the subject.
Furthermore, professional tutors have deep knowledge about the subjects. In other words, they are experts about the subjects. I will give an example of my teacher at high school. My math teacher at high school have great knowledge of math because he had a Ph.D degree of the applied math. He had studied math about twenty years and he seemed to know every concepts and theory which are dealt in math in high school level. Whenever I asked him for help about math, he gave me additional explanations related with my question as well as solutions to my question. This example undoubtedly indicates that getting help from a professional tutor is beneficial than asking friend who is familiar with the subject.
In conclusion, I definitely believe that to ask a professional tutor for help about schoolwork is better than to ask a friend who is good at a subject for the reasons I mentioned above.
