▶ Your Answer : There
may be pros and cons regarding the statement that it is better for children to
choose jobs that are similar to their parents’ jobs than to choose very
different jobs from their parents’ jobs. I am in complete agreement with the
argument. I elaborate on two strongest reasons for my position.
My
first argument for children choose job which similar with their parents’ job
should be espoused. This is because, parents play critical role in developing
students untapped talents. Modern-day student lives hectic live because today’s
globalized society is increasingly competitive and constantly changing.
Consequently, it is difficult to discover children’s personal interest and
pursue the field of study that they prefer. It makes crucial for teachers, to
help students develop their full potential. Therefore, children follow their
parents’ jobs cannot be overlooked. According to a group of education experts
at Columbia University. Students who are under close of guidance by their
teachers decided on their future career and develop their potential faster than
other students who are not. The majority of education experts argues that
children will become a unproductive if they do not fully receive advice and
help of teachers, especially when they are in developing stage.
Moreover,
I strongly supports for children’s job can be rationalized. This is attributed
to the fact that parents, their year of experience, can offer lessons on
morality and ethics to their children who follow their parent’s job. Children who
are until immature mentally have way to go long journey before they are
grown-ups. During the long journey, they tend to make many mistake, therefore
are prone to misbehavior when they choose their jobs. However they can guided
by their parents who can teach them about the jobs skill and etiquette in the
job area and thus become a good model for the job area. For example, growing
children may give into temptation of using drugs because they are too young to
judge right from wrong. This is why children choose their job similar with
their parents’ job is better than choose different job. With the guidance of
parents, they can avoid a temptation and become a master of the job, by
listening to parents’ description of their own experience. Through such lessons,
children can become holistic beings.
Because
of these two reasons, I strongly maintain the argument that it is better for
children to choose jobs that are similar to their parents’ jobs than to choose
very different jobs from their parents’ jobs should be recommended within
unique context of today’s society. Also parents can develop children’ untapped
talents and they can offer lessons on morality and ethics. |
