▶ Your Answer : It is often said that as the inspection technology dealing with information coming from various sources is improved, the reliable amount of news and information has been increased. However, I firmly support the idea that nevertheless there existed immense information which is unknown about sources. There are two reasons why : Information technology has significiently increased and the inspection is not fully adapted. To begin with, the advancement of Information technology has created huge doubtful information at rapid rate. This is the due to the fact that cyber tools, such as personal blogs, chat rooms and social networking on the webside have been peopel's new hobbies nowadays. Not only that, spending home alone, today's people tend to attract the attention from others by uploading stimulating rumors. For example, Jun Kim, one of my classmates in the high school, wrote exaggerately an article related to a famous actress. He wrote it in order to his stress by feeling people's attention. However, the article became disseminated around all over the world. Naturally, the actress got compromised and sued him for a libel. This implies that with the advent and spread of information technology, there are vast untrusting news and information. In addition, information-inspecting method is not perfectly developed and applicable to all the website creating numerous fishy articles in nation. This is attributed to the fact that inspecting every website is not possible for now, considering today's IT level. Moreover, the low level of inspection is one of the main factors to promote serious gossip mostly related to entertainers, politicians, and artists. According to a study conducted by University of California at Los angeles, there was a huge difference between states in the amount of news stemming from unrevealed source. One group of states had improved technology that is able to inspect the website at a higher speed. On the other hand, second group of states had not invested in such technology. The researchers showed that in second group, the unreliable news had increased by geometric progression. This implies that if it were not for the inspection, today's people have difficulty distinguishing whether or not the information is true. In brief, even if it seems that information surrounding us is fairly probable, we have to consider it's reliance. All in all, I firmly believe there existed immense news and informations because of the lowed level of inspectation and a huge number of Information technology. |
