Some people do not think that all students have to be accepted to take a history course. However, in my opinion, taking history courses can positively affect all students for two reasons: to keep healthy and to develop a sense of responsibility.
To begin with, taking history lessons allows young students to stay in healthy, which contributes to create a healthy adult. This is because, taking history courses tend to reduce their stress level by forgetting about their stressful matters. In fact, learning a history promotes students’ historical justify and heal their hurted-mind, and help them to grow a healthy people. In other words, students are easily stressed out when they do not appreciate their career situation for the future and struggle to achieve a higher goal. Moreover, stress is one of the main factor of disease through weakening the immune systems. According to a study conducted by Seoul National University of Korea in 2012, a test on mice showed that life span was shorten when they regularly underwent series of electronic shocks. Interestingly, the researchers found a link between this and human beings who suffer from periodic stress. This implies that high stress levels coming from non-taking history classes can negatively affect humans especially students, resulting in a shorter life span.
On top of that, taking history courses enables teenagers to improve a sense of responsibility. This is due to the fact that learning a history lessons require responsibilities, such as arriving at class on time, managing their schedules wisely, and meeting deadlines, observing regulations, and thoroughly completing assignments. In addition, studying a history makes it possible to learn from famous person’s desirable act in books and it also tend to lead a responsible student. According to a study conducted by Seoul National University of Korea in 2012, students who take a history course do better academically than their peers who do not study history because they know how to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities and can consequently manage their times well. On the whole, students who juggle studies and other activities are more mature and better to equipped to succeed than their non- taking peers. These benefits extend far outside the classroom.
To sum up, advantages of taking history courses far outweigh disadvantages for all students. This is because spending time to study history gives rise to maintain healthy as well as to foster a sense of responsibilities. In this regard, I strongly agree with the statement that all students should be required to take history courses for the reasons I mentioned above. |
