Regardless of circumstances, there is no reason to be impolite.

An intriguing topic of discussion at hand is whether people should be polite regardless of circumstances. The opinions to this question can vary greatly depending on the individual’s perspectives. In my opinion, I strongly disagree with the statement that there is no reason to be impolite in any situation for two major reasons as follows.
To start with, being impolite is required when people encounter unfair situations. In our daily lives, we meet many kinds of people and sometimes there are some rude people who deserve to be treated impolitely. The best example to illustrate this point is the episode of my friend who works as a flight attendant. Even though being polite to their customers is one of the most important qualifications for flight attendants, she had a big fight with her customer because of sexual harassment. At first, she tried to treat him politely but when the customer began to grope her, she did not have a had no choice but to yell at him. Although she did not keep the policy of an air line that requires to be being polite to customers all the time, the company did not punish her at all since that kind of her behavior was considered as a proper and reasonable reaction. This example shows that it is not necessary for people to be polite all the time.
Moreover, being rude in friend’s relationships helps people get closer and feel comfortable. To be specific, in close relationships, people do not tend to be not embarrassed to be straightforward and impolite. To take my personal story in high school for example, on the first day when I had just started the first semester, my friends and I felt very awkward since it was the first time to meet and we barely knew know each other. To break the ice, I made a joke that might be offensive to my friend and at the moment everybody laughed a lot. Since that moment, we started to have a conversation and could become best friends. Still now, we are often being rude to each other on purpose since it means that our relationships are close enough so that we do not have to be concerned with politeness. As seen in this case, people sometimes are being rude on purpose in order to make relationships comfortable and closer.
In conclusion, I strongly argue for my standpoint on account of two reasons mentioned above.
