In the lecture, the professor raises
solutions to the reading passage’s observation that the increase in visitors at
United States’ National parks is threatening the preservation on them and gives
examples of the Grand Canyon and Yellowstone National park. The professor
asserts that both National Parks are initiating preservation methods to deal
with these sightseers and protect the areas.
To begin with, the professor argues that at Grand Canyon National Park(,) they are making approaches to collaborative
preservation methods with visitors. According to the reading passage, since
there is a huge amount of increase in (the number of)
visitors, though one people gives minimal
impairment at the area, the amount (their
environmental impact) would not be ignorable (, although that of each
individual might be minimal.). On the other hand, the professor says
that the Park is cooperating with the visitors to take litter with them back by
using renewable plastics and focusing in
(on) eradicating invasive species, contributing
to the preservation of the region.
Next, the professor claims that Yellowstone National park is seeking new
preservation methods. The reading passage describes how the park is affected by
the accommodations established for visitors and their ecological impact. On the
contrary, the professor states that the park is adapting new conservation
methods by utilizing solar panels, bio-digels
(diesels) and renewable materials.
