As far as I’m concerned , it would be much
nicer having real experiences than reading thousands books. Some people could
say, books could give knowledge much easier and faster. However I strongly
believe that real experience is better because, it can give lessons beyond the
written letters and save time for understanding.
Most of all, I think that experience can
give real lessons. It is hard to convey original ideas with written words,
because when we defined something, it inclined to contained author's intention
. Then, it lost their objectivity. In that point of view, how writer could can
give real lessons to reader. There is a
famous poem about this in Korea. The Poem’s name is "The Flower". It
says that it is no longer a flower after you call it a flower. The author wants
to show the Flower but after he says flower, it is no longer a real Flower
anymore, because it is not the exact Flower that he wanted to show to reader,
it has changed. Thus, real experience can give real lessons better than written words.
Moreover, people can understand much faster
when they have experiences. For example, if professor describes characteristics
of historical architectures, it would be much faster for my understanding if I
learn by experience building those architectures rather than studying those architecture types in books. That is
the reason, many students going to art museums and historical museums for
looking at real things. Actually When I was young, my mother brought me to the
science experiment-exhibitions that were helpful to understanding really faster
than my normal friends. I can always get the top score in my classes.
Therefore, I insist that experience helps me understand faster and better.
Long story short, I suggest that it is
better to choose experience, if you have two options experience something or
reading books. It will provide you more real lessons not from abstract words as
well as time saving. |
