It is often said that it is better to travel in one’s native country than travel abroad. This is because traveling abroad requires a lot of time and money. However, I strongly believe that traveling overseas has more advantages for two reasons: we can get a job more easily and we can improve our senses of responsibility.
First of all, traveling overseas allows us to get a job more easily than ever. This is attributed to fact that unlike the past when most economies were based on agriculture and manufacturing which were mainly labor-oriented, now are in the high-competing age. Thus, there is a much higher priority placed on multiple experiences. Through traveling to multiple places, we can get a variety of survival skills as well as become to understand about various traditions and cultures. It would be helpful to get a job. According to a study conducted by the National Association of Adult Leadership, people who traveled overseas has a enormous advantages over those who did not because developing and industrialized countries are increasingly moving toward economies based on the manipulation of diverse experience. The researchers have shown that job opportunity available to people don’t have abroad experience will continue to decline as a result of this trend.
On top of that, traveling abroad has positive impact on improving our senses of responsibility. This is because traveling abroad requires a lot of responsibilities, such as arriving at appointment place on time, observing traveling regulations, dealing with emergency situation, and managing one’s time wisely. According to a study conducted by the Ministry of the Education of Korea in 2010, students who traveled abroad work do better academically than those who did not because they know how to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities and can consequently manage their time well. Also, the researchers have found that students who have traveled overseas are more mature and better equipped to succeed than their peers who never traveled abroad. These benefits extend far outside the classroom.
To sum up, traveling abroad enables us to get a job more easily and enhance the senses of responsibility. For these reasons as I mentioned above, I firmly think that traveling overseas are more beneficial to us to succeed in the future.
