▶ Your Answer :
Some people say that it is better
for children to grow up in the countryside than in a big city. They insist that
the better environment in the countryside helps children grow healthy. However
I agree that it is more beneficial for children to grow up in a big city for
two different reasons. First, children in a big city has more opportunity to
involve in extra activities or classes that kids in the countryside wouldn’t
get a chance to join. Second, a city is more open for kids to socialize with
each others.
Children
in the city side usually have more chance to involve in extra activities. As
there are more people, children, many programs have been created for these kids
to get involved. Let me take my experience as an example. When I used to live
in a countryside, there were not many programs I could join in the town. Except
the normal school program I went, there weren’t anything that I could really
join outside of the school. However, when I moved to the city side, I saw that
there were tons of opportunities that were open to me. After school, I joined a
soccer club and a clay-class, which I absolutely enjoyed. If I stayed in the
countryside, I would not be able to get these opportunities.
A big
city does not only offer opportunities for kids to learn and get involved, but
also to make more friends. Although in the countryside, one can be friends with
the nature, it is hard to find a “real” friend who can actually interact with
her. However, in a big city, there are more people and this opens more doors
for children to socialize and make friends. Studies have shown that people who
were grown up in a city side, are more outgoing and social.
In
conclusion, I agree that there are more positive aspects for children to grow
up in a big city than the countryside for the two reasons that I have mentioned
above. Children can get involved with extra activities that they want to join,
and as they get more chance to interact with other kids, they can grow social.
