Many people say that the news media is a reliable source of unbiased information. However, I disgree with this statement for two reasons. First, the reporters have their own perspectives about the news contents. Second, it is fairly common that the news media respectively report very different contents with respect to the same events.

First of all, no matter how hard they tried to be objective, the journalists make their one-of-a-kind opinions and give the readers or audiences quite biased information. The reporters know well that they should be objective. However, because people generally form their own worldview while go through various lives, the report is subject to being partisan. A recent study of one hundreds reporters by the Cateo Institute revealed some interesting results. For example, 73 percent of those surveyed reported that for the events which they reported, they have had a conspicuous preferences or opinions. And when asked how uninterested they are aboutwrite or address the contents, 67 percent responded that they think the contents are contained with their perspectives although they did not mean it aren't meant to do that. This shows that journalists have a biased thoughts and give an partial information.

Second, the news media is very biased because it delivers a very diverse report on occasions even in terms of only one event. Sometimes, whenever you look at news media such as the televison, newpapers and so on, you may know that the different news media report respectively the diverse contents. For example, when the tremendous event related to army issues happend at in my country, South Korea, I felt that the news media according to their political preferences made different addresses differently about that issues. At one point, it said that the problem was associated with the North Korea. In contrast, at the other points, it argueed that the issue was related to the nation's internal faulty. This biased information gave me lots of confusions.

To sum up, journalists have their own opinions and address somewhat subjective matters. Moreover, merely about one event, they gave me the very different information. For these reasons, I believe that the news media is a source of biased information.
