People have different opinions on whether getting information from diffrent news sourses is necessary to become well-informed. I disagree that you should get diffrence news sources to get well-informed. First, information from many different sources makes you confused. Second, you waste time getting information from many sources.
Most of all, more information means more confusion. Getting information from many news sources may sometimes be necessary. However, let me give an example to show why too many information sources are not good. Companies do whatever it takes to sell more products. In order to promote sales via advertising, a lot of money is used to allure potential consumers. Currently, however, people are far more inclined to make rational decisions when shopping than buy compulsively. Vast amount of product information are readily availanle for those who seek it. If you wish to purchase a book, checking online is a viable place to find information. In my case, I tried to get information from as many different sources as possible. However, some information lead me to improper decision such as extreme point of view. Futhermore, the conflicting opinions from many different news companies made me so confused that I could be anything but well-informed. This proves that information from different new sources is not needed becaues of too much confusion.
Besides, information from different news sources brings about a waste of time. Some people may think that getting infomation from many sources takes little time. However, let me show you the idea that it is a crutial time waste to search information from a lot of sources. When I was in college, I had to write a paper on social networking service for the mass media class. I had little knowledge about online social networking, so I searched as many sources as possible. First, I went to the library and read all the news papers and magazines about information technology. Indeed, I spent almost a week reading and watching a sea information from plenty of sources. Unfortunately, however, I wasted most time because different sources had do many redundant facts and data. After all, I could not have enough time to make good paper because of waste time to search many sources. This demonstrates that people do not have rely on many information sources since it is a waste of time.
In conclusion, I disagree that getting information from diffrent news sourses is necessary to become well-informed for the reasons that I have mentioned above. First, more information means more confusion. Second, information from different news sources brings about a waste of time.
