Some people argue that cleaning the environment is not the best way to improve healthcare. As far as I am concerned, however, I strongly agree with the statement that the most crucial thing that governments can do to improve healthcare is to clean the environment. This is because a lot of pollutants can people get a disease. Another reason for my opinion is that, if the government doesn't clean the city, many viruses and bacteria will appear. First and foremost, toxic pollutants can make people sick. Many factories and vehicles in the country make a lot of material that is bad for human. Furthermore, it cause people several illness. Not only heavy metals such as lead or mercury, but also toxic gases like ozone or carbon monoxide can cause disease. Even acid rain and dust can make people sick. For instance, my friend got respiratory disease because he moved from rural to urban area, and in urban area there are too many dust. Therefore, if the government remove bad pollution, people who suffered by several disease will be decrease. In addition, many harmful microbes such as viruses and bacteria will be appear. To illustrate, viruses and bacteria can cause serious disease. To exemplify, in many developing countries have more people who have severe infection disease by microbes than developed countries. This is because developed countries is much clear than developing countries. In other words, the government remove viruses and bacteria periodically so they cannot live easily. Thus, if the government make environment clean, many microorganism that cause infection disease will die and the percentage of patient will be decline. To sum up, I firmly maintain that cleaning the environment is the best method to improve healthcare. This is because, not only removing pollutants, but also bacteria and viruses can decrease the number of patient who are suffered from the disease. |
