People can accumulate knowledge from variety of methods. Two of the
most considerable ways to learn is to have conversations with the fellows or to
be taught by instructors. Some people might think that people in a higher level
give more reasonable answers because they are professional in that areas.
However, in my opinion, I think it is better for people to learn things from
their own level of people for the following two reasons.
To
begin with, people can generate more imaginative ideas during the conversations
with people in the same level. Many of them can have a conversation with their
colleagues within comfortable atmosphere tend to have more active interactions
because they do not like to show their drawbacks to their supervisors. With
less pressure to ask questions, more frequent discussions often yield higher
amount of satisfactory results. For instance, when I worked in IT company, the
director of the company founded the new policy for the workers to have monthly
seminars with their colleagues with equivalent positions. The main purpose of
the new act was to produce creative ideas and it was effective since there were
a lot of active deliberations on topics. The director already noticed that most
of the employees were hesitant to suggest their own opinions in front of their
instructors so he encouraged them to gather in accordance with their
ranks.
On
top of that, co-workers in similar position are better at understand the
problems. Since they stay within the same level, their perspectives on the
problems is virtually same, meaning that they can offer more persuasive advice.
Also, most of supervisors are inclined to give complicated solutions because it
is hard for them to sync to their employees' insights. To be specific, even
though my company encouraged its workers to have conversations with the
instructors to alleviate the conflict between the managers and workers, it has
shown to be ineffective due to the workers' reluctance to tell the truth. The
ultimate goal was inconsistence because they are in different views. The
manager always cared about only the profit of the company while employees were
thinking about their amenities. However, when I talked to my best friend in the
company, I could be relaxed on the problems because he was more convincing.
To
sum up, a myriad of innovative agendas was activated during the deliberations
among the people with same positions. Also, same level person gives their
colleague more understandable opinions. In this regard, I think it is better
for people to have discussion with the people in the same level.
