Some people think that getting advice from older people is better. However, in my opinion, I think that getting advice from friends is better for the following two subsequent reasons.
To begin with, friends are also reliable. Some people might think that their friends are too young to give pointers. But the recent young people have as many experiences as older people. Moreover, they tend to gain lots of knowledge than older people do by studying abroad and traveling to a variety of countries. For example, when I had to get a job, I wanted some people to help me. When I ran into my best friend on the street, we discussed my own hassles. However, unexpectedly she told me to apply to a trading company. She told that the company would be suitable for me. As time passed, I was hired by a trading company and I realized that my friend was the best adviser by becoming used to this company.
On top of that, old people's advice may be outdated. Older people not only tend to have a wide array of prejudices about new things but they also tend to reject new theory they have never seen. Older people's advice with outdated information and thoughts is not applicable to today's society. To give an anecdote, when my sister struggled choosing a job, my grandmother always gave advice that stable jobs are the best to her. My sister always depended on grand mother's pointer although the advice was too biased. She started to study to be a high school teacher through the advice that my grandmother highlighted. After she entered a high school, she realized that this strict place does not fit her and she still works there, regretting her choice.
To sum up, young friends' advice is more suitable and reliable. Furthermore, Older people's pointer is too outdated to rely on.
In this regard, I firmly believe that It is better to gain advice from peers.
