Many people will acclaim if government announce(s) that they will offer public transportation for free. Seemingly(,) this policy will help both citizen(s) and (the) government by taking public transportation for free and reducing the number of car(s) on the road(,) resulting in alleviating the amount of exhaust fume. However, it is just perfect (an) unfeasible dream, because huge amount of money is needed to maintain and build facilit(ies). (S)econd, current facilit(ies) can(not) accommodate increased people at the same time.
First of all, some experts said (assert) that “it takes 30 years to recover the money lost they invested in building subway or highway”. No company will not dare to invest in project that they can’t expect profit not to mention something that they can’t make ends meet. Also(,) to maintain and develop facility (maintaining and developing facilities are) is (almost) impossible without enormous amount of money. If (a) company doesn’t require people to pay for fee, they have no source to receive(earn) money. It means they will not (be) able to keep maintaining the facilit(ies). Without repairing or replacing component(s,) which wear out, lifespan of subway and bus become far shorter than that of maintained one. People might say(argue) that they can ask government for help by providing tax, but it is not different from when people pay for (the) fee at all.
On top of that, if people are capable of using public transportation for free, everybody will use it, causing tumult (chaos) in small station where many people can’t enter at the same time (simultaneously). For example, in my country’s subway station, serious accidents occur frequently in the morning (and) evening (where it is extremely crowded) when people are crowded. Because so many people are there, one person is subject to be thrown away into the trail road when train is coming (approaching). If there had been less people, (t)his accident could have been prevented. Then it is apparent that station have to be broadened(enlarged) and the number of buses or subway should be increased so as to accommodate many people at once. Then again huge amount of money is needed to solve this problem.
In summary, I strongly believe that using public transportation for free is impossible. A certain amount of money have to be replenished anyway, in order to meet every condition. And if people want to use more improved and convenient public transportations for long without stopping(,) they must pay for fee. I think it is one of the most important duty of citizen
