If you look at all the successful business man, they might have learned how to manage their money at a young age. In this regard, some people will argue that children don’t have to manage their own money at a young age in order to become financially responsible adults. However, from my point of view, I agree with that young children must manage their own money to becoming financially responsible adults.
To begin with, it takes long time to be financially responsible adults. People should experience many troubles and hardship with money for a long time. Then, they would have ability to manage money correctly if they start at a young age. For example, my brother usually received allowance from his parents when he was attending elementary school. At the first time, he didn’t manage his cash well because he couldn’t endure buying his favorite toys. Sometimes he failed, but he finally became a financially responsible adult after graduate college. From this experience, you can see much time is needed for becoming financially responsible person.
On top of that, children’s money is less important than adults’ one; if they don’t manage their money at a young age, adults would waste their huge amount of money until they finally realize the value of the money. For example, my uncle is university student, and he is struggling with managing his own money. When he was young, he bought many unnecessary things, but didn’t manage he own money. After he graduated high school, he realized that he had to earn and manage his own money by himself. He wastes his lot of money buying expensive clothes and watches due to the lack of managing money skill.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that children should learn how to manage their own money at a young age in order to become financially responsible adults. The reasons are that becoming financially responsible adults needs long time managing their own money and adults will waste their lot of money if they don’t manage it at a young age.
