To live in society, money is an obviously important factor. Especially to business people, since they have a responsibility to make profits for a company, they may pursue only money not for their dream or desire. However, I strongly believe there are lots of people who esteem their life goal more than money for several reasons. First, people are motivated by their own passion and ambition. Second, they work hard for company itself.
First of all, people value their own passion more than money. Some people may argue that money is always top priority whatever they are doing to live comfortably. However, it is more important to have self-satisfaction on their work. Let me take one of my friends for example. When she graduated from university, unlike other students, she worked at home making hand-made accessories. She opened an on-line shop and sold her products. Because it was world-one item, young people were loved the items and lots of orders requested. Despite of many orders, she made items only ten on a daily basis. This is because she did not pursue money, but she felt self-satisfaction when she invented new and novel goods. Through her story, I realized that people are motivated for their own passion and faith.
Second, people work for a company. Working for the company may mean that working for money. What I want to say is, however, they put their all time and efforts to just maintain a company. For example, my uncle has factory which makes knifes on a traditional way. These day, not many people use old way of knifes, since there are lots of brand-new and foreign knifes on market. The company was invented my grandfather’s father and grandfather gave my uncle the factory. In spite of this is not a good business item, he maintain the factory and worked hard condition because it is a family-run business. It has a tradition and it is a precious estate to next generation. In this sense, we can learn that people not work for only money, but for tradition and responsibility to next generation.
To summarize what I mentioned above, people are not motivated only by money. First, people value their own passion more than money. Second, people worked for a company to maintain tradition and responsibility. People work for things that they cannot buy money. |
