문제를 스스로 해결? 조언을 받아서? 시간 아슬아슬하네요 ㅠ
‘Experience is the best teacher’ which means people are learned best by doing things on their own. Although I believe that people should listen to wise person’s advice at certain situation, I think it is better for them to try to figure out and get over the problematic situation while they are still young for the following two reasons. First of all, people, especially student, best obtain lessons and information from firsthand experience. Also, solving problem on their own encourages them to learn more.
To begin with, students never forget the lessons and skills garnered from on hand experience. This is due largely to using of all of five senses, which leave lasting imprint on their mind. For example, when I was high school students I had the opportunity to lead project team in high school physics class. Although I tried my best to get great team project report, I failed to do so. This was because I didn’t’ trust my teammates’ ability but overestimated mine and didn’t know how to cooperate with my teammates in doing projects. Not only was my grades affected, but also were grades of my teammates. I’ve always been trying to cooperate with teammates whenever I have team projects since this incidence from which I learned about the importance of cooperation. By feeling for myself about importance of teamwork, I was able to be developed more than before.
On top of that, by solving problem by themselves, students’ passion for learning and ability to deal with problem can be improved. It’s like precluding cold by taking one moment pain of stinking by a needle. I think it is much better for them to try to solve relatively small problem comparing to big problem that they would confront in future. I believe experience formed by doing things on their own during school life will help them to adapt to ‘real world’. Also, students are stimulated by problem such as fail in exam to change their attitude and mind toward real world. They will be willing to study in order not to fail again.
In summary I strongly believe that solving problems by themselves is much better than getting some help. It will help them to adapt and be much more successful in ever-expanding sea of information.
