There are a number of witnesses who are sure that hard-work is the ultimate way to be successful in life. Although I should admit the importance of hard-work, I still disagree with this argument that being lucky has nothing to do with success in life. The rationale behind this is that being lucky can bring unexpacted chances. In addition, there are definitely more than just being deligent to success in life.
To begin with, being lucky can lead to a whole new opportunity to success in life. In this ever-changing world, it is too difficult to deal with everything well without luck. For instance, my father, who runs his own business, had a financial problem when he decided to move his factory. All of sudden, he found that the previous factory he would sell had far much more value than he had estimated because of the new plan from the government to develop the area. So he could proceed his plan by selling the old factory at high price.
Also, sometimes it is not that desirable to depreciate the value of being lucky. Since there are a number of factors to be a winner in the game of life, including hard work as well as being lucky, people should consider several aspacts, not just to be a hard-working endeavor. One of my friend who worked in a huge firm always tried to perform to his fullest to be acknowledged from the firm so that he could promote further. However, while his colleages, who tried to build a good relationship with others in the firm, succeded to be promoted in better positions, he couldn't make it because he did nothing but to be a hard-worker.
To summerize, luck is also important factor to be successful because of the unexpected events luck may bring, and the various elements to be better in life. Don't be misunderstood to be lucky, someday it will probably work on you, as a helper for your future! |
