Nowadays, people work at an earlier age than in the past, thus young people argue about how to spend the money they earn. Among the many options, traveling or saving for the future is common. I would prefer to spend money for a trip because I can learn through those travels, and develop responsibilities and exploit knowledge.
First, I can develop responsibilities during the travel such as making decision to how much can I spend for food, for lodging and for leisure. If I spend a lot of money in tours, I can't pay enough for my meals because I will run out of my money. Thus, I have to control my consumption to prevent such situations. Last year, one of my friends went to the Philippines to study English. However, she used most of her finances in leisure such as getting a massage, going to the club and shopping. Finally she couldn't study, because she had to start working instead, to afford her amusement. Through those experiences, I can learn self-control is important, I have to know my financial availability and spending habits to do what I want.
Second, I will exploit knowledge like experience different cultures. Like the saying" To see is to believe", people usually believe what they witness and easily understand it. In my case, I went to India last year. Before I arrived there, I thought there are many cows on the road, however, I only saw a few were on the road. Some of India friends I made at that time told me that because of danger on the road, cows were protected by their habitats. At that time, I was surprised and confused between the books I read and real-world. I saw the big difference.
All in all, I strongly agree that people should spend their money on travelling rather than saving for the future. It has a lot of benefits such as learning to control my financial condition and expanding my knowledge. If I have a chance to spend money, I'll take a trip, of course.
