It is often said that getting happiness from work is more significant than earning much money. Some people may be opposed to this statement because they believe money is the most important thing in current society. However, as for me, finding satisfying positions is more important than finding lucrative positions. This is largely due to the fact that money alone cannot make people happy and if they enjoy ehir jobs, they are more likely to succeed.
To begin with, making a lot of money doesn’t always allow people to be happy. While money is essential in order to survive, people who choose high salaries often find themselves stuck in position that aren’t satisfied with. The problems they have with their careers then taint other aspects of their lives, making them unhappy. For example, my brother always wanted to be a writer, but he chose an administrator for his job because it paid him a higher salary. He could make a lot of money by his job but he did not eat properly and went to bed. He seemed so stressed out since it wasn’t what he really hoped.
In addition, if people choose their jobs that they are passionate about, it will be greater chance for success. One significant reason is that they put in more effort to their jobs than people who are only to make money. Steve Jobs, the head of Apple Computers, is one of the best examples that demonstrate this point. He spent night and day on studying computers since he really wanted to be dedicate to changing the world with computers. With his tremendous enthusiasm, Jobs has improved the world for everyone and many people respect him. He succeeded because he had found his calling.
All thing considered, I firmly believe that being happy with a job should come before the benefits of a high salary. Not only can people avoid being unhappy, but also can get a chance for success. That is why we should choose jobs which can give us pleasure. : |
