It is often said that old aged people still have a wide range of ways to enjoy their lives. However, from my point of view, it is obvious that young people are likely to have more dynamic and interesting events in their lives than older people. The rationale behind this is that they are more physically active and also, are under fewer responsibilities.
First of all, the physical condition of young people allows them to enjoy their lives to its fullest. This is because a wide range of activities that brings in a high achievements and happiness to one’s life are mostly restricted to people who are in good physical conditions. These activities would include various sports activities such as playing baseball, hiking and marathon. For instance, my grandfather used to go on a hiking to Hanra mountain on the Jeju Island every year when he was in his youth. However, as he got older, he had to spare spend his time more on taking care of his health rather than pursuing physically and demanding activities.
In addition, relatively having fewer responsibilities enable young people to have more active lives. As people age, responsibilities such as taking care of their children and keeping the their position in their work place begin to burden them down. Consequently, these responsibilities will restrict how much they can enjoy their lives. On the other hand, young people with fewer obligations are more likely to have wider range of option of and methods to enjoy their lives. A recent survey conducted from Seoul, Korea has shown that people under the ages of sixty tend to be more satisfied with their lives in terms of gratification compared to people over sixties.
In brief, it is obvious that young people are having have more active and dynamic lives than older people due to their physical conditions and amount of their responsibilities. On the whole, it is easy for young people not to realize the advantages that young confers, so they should be able to know the value of their youth and try to dedicate their endless endeavor for a successful lives.
