Q. Nowadays, people put too much emphasis on personal appearance and fashion. |
The issue at hand is whether people put too much importance in personal appearance and fashion. In my view, I firmly believe that people care about their external features too much then other things such as education or personality. For one, many people judge other people by their personal appearance. Additionally, a plastic surgery for one's beauty is substantially increasing over the past years.
Firstly, most of the people decide whether a person is good or not with just their vogue and outward appearance. This problem is getting serious and serious everyday. If celebrities are shown on the television wearing odd or ugly clothes, netizen criticize and say abusive word to them on the on-line bill board. Even when the celebrities' outward appearance is not their ideal face, they abhor and dislike them because of this minor reason. I can see that entertainers' popularity and fame is decided by their appearance. For instance, in my country Korea, there are lots of singers and performers who succeed and gained lots of interest from people just because they look good. Even though they don't have any talent to be a singer or entertainer, people like them very much because of one mere reason.
In addition, a plastic operation is considerably enhancing in these days. I believe this is occurring seriously due to people's too much emphasis on the fashion and external features. As the plastic surgeries get very popular, about three people out of ten will have experienced it before. Nowadays, surgery for their weight loss is also being held and getting well liked among people. Even though surgery for trimming fat is fatal, people tend to do it just because to make them look more better and prettier. From my personal experience, I have once seen a woman from the television who was extremely addicted to the plastic operations. She always had an auditory hallucination when she ceased operation. So, she started to put oil in her face when ever she suffered from the hallucination. As a result, her face got two times bigger than the normal person and her health was in lethal problems. By this woman's life, we can see how people are seriously emphasizing their outward appearance.
In conclusion, I believe people are putting too much emphasis on their facial appearance and fashion. They judge people by their external features and vogue. Also, numbers of people who are having plastic surgeries are rising day by day. It seems that only pretty and refined people can be admitted and recognized by the people and society. |
