When it comes to the question,'What do you do for good health?' I would like to cite having good eating habits and working out in a fitness center as the activities to stay healthy. I do them on a regular basis because health needs steady care.
To begin with, I care very much about what I eat. This is important because physical health starts from eating well. As for myself, I drink a cup of water first thing in the morning. As drinking water is known to be good for the circulation, I try to do it as often as I can. Moreover, I have the habit of eating little, but often. It is no secret that eating too much at a time does harm to your stomach. Accordingly, I try not to skip a meal and make up for it later. Besides, it is a must that I do not eat after ten o'clock at night. Although a late-night meal is a big temptation, I try not to even think about it. Therefore, maintaining good eating customs is what I do to stay in shape.
What is more, I enjoy doing physical exercise after school in a gym close to my apartment. My daily work-out begins with a 30 minute stretching session. As I am not flexible, I spend a relatively large amount of time on it. Then, I do aerobic exercise for at least half an hour. My favorite session is walking and running on a treadmill watching a sports channel, which is following by a 20 minute weighlifting session. Since I prefer a good figure rather than a muscular body, I lift weights every other day. I like working out in the gym because it not only makes me sweat a lot but also let off stress. All this is good for my body as well as my mind.
All in all, achieving good health starts from keeping good eating habits and periodic exercise. A famous proverb says : "Watch your health when you are in good health." With this in mind, I endeavour to make my daily routine to the gym as enjoyable as I can while having a healthy diet. |
