When we were a little baby, we learned everything only by experience; walking barely, speaking mom. But soon after, we start to recognize our world, speak pretty much well and be able to read alphabet. Since then, We have read so many words, sentences, of course books. There are a lot of things we can learn only by experience, however there are also countless things that we can learn only by books. After we learn basic life skills which are done in elementary by going through, our major source of knowledge is books.
The theme and topic of book is uncountable. As time goes, buildings are destoyed but book exists. This is why what we can learn from books is various and unlimited. We can see what Paris's the Eiffel tower is like, how our precedents lives without going to France and going back to old days. Just by reading books, readers can travel anywhere, anytime. This is very easy and don't need much time. However, if we can read and only experiencing is the source of information, human's knowledge will be very limited; because human cannot figure out what happened in back times or in other places.
When I learnt the philosophy of ancient Greece, I thought human’s idea sometimes cannot be easily understood . We are not just eating-and-sleeping animals. Human’s thinking needs more delicate and profound explanation and the great medium for it is a book. What is the better way for understanding Kant’s idea except for reading his books? How about poem? We can feel and know how other people live in the world reading literature; that is such a wonderful learning.
In conclusion, book has no limits against time and place. Experiencing is time-consuming and has place-related constrains. And people can understand others’ deep idea and world view by books.
