Most universities invest more in the libraries rather than the athletic departments. However, I strongly believe that the university should fund same amount to the athletic departments as the libraries, that's because it have poor facilities to enjoy activities. Also, it will cost a lot of finance damages in order to promote new activities to encourage students to exercise more.
First, facilities of the university's athletic department are out-dated. This influences students to have hard time exercising. Additionally, some students have a difficult financial situation to afford a athletic facilities such as tennis rackets or basket balls. It occurs them to exercise lesser than other students. Also, encourging physical exercise is a effective approach to raising efficeincy of the school studies. In this sense, universities should raise more fund to encourage students to exercise in order to take care of their health.
Secondly, universities should promote new activities programs and this wiil cost a lot. Programs running now in universities are too limited. Universitys should develop more fun activities fitting the interest of the students. It will cause more students to involve in physical activities. For example, in my school, there was only gym class. Therefore, students felt exhausted by the limited programs. However, our university decide to establish yaga and tennis class. It made many students to exercise in regular. In this way, students have greater motivation for exercise to improve their health.
All in all, universities should invest in the athletic departments to improve the facilities and the limited classes. In mordern society, competition is getting worse and as a result, students have to stay more in libraries to study. It makes students to ruin their health. It is clear that having physical activities improve students healthe and reduce the stress of the school works. In order to encourage students to exercise in regular, universitys should raise more fund for the athletic departments. |
