Nowadays, general awareness about whether doing only what we already do well or trying new tasks and take risk. People, nevertheless, have conflicting ideas; while some people say that it is more important to perform well than performing new tasks with enormous risks, others argue that trying and challenging new things is beneficial for us. Personally, I highly agree with a latter opinion for the following reasons.
First of all, challenge gives us enormous motivation and confidence that could not be acquired in ordinary life. History have shown that many heroes were be motivated through many wars, loves, conversations, trips and so on. Let me take my experience as an example. After my first year of high school, I started losing my grips on math and confidence to succeed in the subject. My parents tried to encourage me, however, their efforts did not help at all. Then, it is the rock-climbing that lent me a helping hand. As I participated in rock-climbing club, members taught me not only climbing skills but also confidence to succeed in any tasks. As a result, my grades greatly improved in the next semester. Without the experiences, I could not have overcome the difficulty successfully.
challenge helps us to learn variable experiences in our life.
Through multiple experiences, we could acquire valuable lessons and good advice. This lessons make me a wise person and a positive thinker. A recent television documentary program by Korean National Research covered how trying new things with danger can act as an effective tutor in life. The program pointed out that people with vast experiences tend to have enormous knowledges. To be more specific, people could not get precious lessons through ordinary life-style and it suggested that when we succeed or fail in some tasks, we could acquire knowledge about the tasks. Then, in the next time to trying the tasks, we would succeed in the task perfectly.
In conclusion, it is more beneficial for us to trying new things and take risks. |
