It is often said that taking classes for more than 11mouths throughout the year is better for students because students can concentrate on their studies without any distraction. However, I disagee with this statement for two reasons: it might make students to lose their interest in their learning and cause health problems.
To begin with, long term studying might feel boring in their study. Some people might say focusing to study for a long time is beneficial because it make chance to raise students grade. However, students usually want to do various kinds of activities in their youth to ger many experiences and broaden their view. Therefore, taking classes for more than 11months minght descourage students from such desire of them and it could cause them to lose their interest in studies. For example, when my sister Anna was in the first year in college, she wanted to get much knowledge in her professional field and win scholarship. Thus, she resistered classes during 3 sismesters with no rest or vacation. When she almost finished her first year she lose her passion in her study any more and finally, she droped the courses and desided to change her major. If she had had some break she would have keep her studying in her field.
In addition, too much studying can lead to some health problems. This is because this bring about much stress and deprive of time to excercise. To demonstrate, according to the Ministry of Education of Krea in 2007, they studied two group of students. One of the group students attende school without vacation and another group students had enough rest between semesters. The research said that students of first group had more ailments and much shorter attention span. Thus those students had far lower attendance rate. This shows that taking courses on and on have a negative effect on students' health and this badly affect their academic perfomance.
In brief, students attending school more than 11months throughout the year can be the reason of students' health problem and losing interest in studies. thus I firmly believe that students should study with some break time. |
