These days, many products easily have some problems, That is, people usually have to complain about it. Some would think complain in writing, because they probably don't want to have time limit. Nonetheless, I prefer complain in person rather than complain in writing. There are two reasons why I think complain in person is better.
To begin with, when people talk in face to face position, it can make people to understand easily. In other words, people can give informations effectively. When someone who complains write in the letter, if reader can't understand, than they need more letters to talk. It will waste more time. For example, When I was complaining about my clothes which I ordered last year, I was so upset. I wrote letter to the company and asked about why my clothes have problem. The company replied me about how my clothes are going. I had to sent letters two or three times, it made me tired to say something. From my perspective, complain in person would send my opinion effectively.
In addition, when people talk in face to face position, people can hear my tone of voice, so they can understand how I feel. When people are talking, tone of voice is very important. Tone of voice can show my emotion, so people can understand and act on that situation easily. To exemplify, When I was complaining in a writing to clothes company I mentioned above, they are getting it as not important complain. They thought I was not serious, so they are just making me to do something. However, when I called that company because I felt they are not paying attention to my problem, they said sorry about it. I used my high voice tone, and fastest voice, the company noticed that I was very upset. Because of that, that company did best on my problem. From my point of view, tone of voice is most important thing if I have to talk with people.
To sum up, because of the two reasons I mentioned above, people have to talk in person rather than talk in writing. Therefore, I recommend you, if you have problem so have to complain, don't be afraid to talk in a person. When you are talking show that how you feel and what they have to do for it. |
