The author mentions that an inexperienced worker at a lower salary is better than an experienced worker at a higher salary. However, I disagree this statement because an inexperienced worker could have more possibility to make mistake than an experienced worker which can give a workplace big damage even though they have more passion and willing about their job. Additionally, an experienced worker can make more benefit to an owner.
First, people who are not familiar with task can easily make mistake. Even though an owner pay lower salary to a worker, he/she has to anticipate a profit of business because they could break producing process and lose customers. Not only that, if an in experienced worker makes or puts wrong material in processing, many people can get a bad influence such as a hurt, and diseases. When I worked an accessory store with an inexperienced worker, we lost many valuable customers because of the worker's attitude to a customers and an awkward serving ability. For this reason, I disagree with this statement.
Second, an experienced worker is better than an inexperienced worker in making a profit to a business. Although an experienced worker gets more salary than an inexperienced worker, he/she might bring more profit than owner pay to him by suggesting good idea for product and creating good items. For example, Sam-sung, one of the best company in the world, they give the highest salary to an experienced worker because they think their experienced ability is much more expensive than they pay for salary and believe that make more profit. Actually, most companies wants experienced workers due to these reasons.
In sum, some people might think that an inexperienced worker at lower salary is better because an owner doesn't need to pay higher salary. However, I disagree with the author's statement because an inexperienced worker can make more problems and an experienced worker can bring more benefit. Recently, most hirers prefer experienced workers to inexperienced workers due to these reasons and more. |
