When I read a first edition of Harry potter, I was really amazed by the idea, magical chess. If I say a word such as move forward, makers of chess move automatically. Ron and Harry Potter loved to play that. Likewise, various games became popular since it is the best way for people to relieve stress and have interaction with one another. However, in my opinion, games have the most importance since games teach about life. It leads people to learn about social rules and cooperation.
Games educate people about social regulations. Games are miniature of society. When people play games, they have certain rules they have to obey. Otherwise they might not enjoy games thoroughly. Hence, they will try their best to follow laws of games and naturally could apply their learning to real life. In my own experience, when I was young, I enjoyed playing "Monopoly" which is a board game. Even though it is only a game, it has complex rules that I have to follow. No matter how much I want to win, I have to wait for my turn and obey specific regulations to win. I could neither cheat nor disobey the law because I will not able to have that entertaining game or gain a genuine victory. While playing the game, I realized that there are certain rules in society that I have to keep to live smoothly with other people. Therefore, games teach people about social rules.
Moreover, games teach people how to cooperate well with one another. When they play games such as soccer or baseball, people will know that they could not win the game without cooperation. Collaboration is essential for a victory, thus will learn how to cooperate efficiently with one another. For example, it is not surprising that most of popular leaders loved to play sports. According to Korean Time magazine, famous Korean leaders such as Nou Mhou Hyoun who is a former president and Kim Hyoun San who is a leading C.E.O in Hyundai liked to play sports. Most of them mentioned that when they played sports, they could gain valuable opportunities to interact with their friends. Naturally, they leaned how to cooperate efficiently with other people, enabling them to be successful. Therefore, playing games could give indispensable lessons to people.
In conclusion, considering these reasons, I firmly believe games could give valuable lessons about life. However, children are usually absorbed to computer games which have no benefits. People should lead them to concentrate on games that could give precious teachings.
