If you could spend a year living in any city on the world, which city would you choose to live in? Give the reasons why you would want to live there
It is always exciting to think which city is the best place for us in to live. There are a lot of cities that are fantastic, beautiful, marvelous and exciting such as New York, To Kyo, Seoul, Paris and so on. However, I would love to live in Durban which is located in South Africa. Some of the reasons are : the people are kind, the cost of living is very reasonable and it is an outstanding location for surfing. Some experience from my own life support this idea.
First of all, the area is one of the best places for surfing in the entire world. Everyone who interested in surfing dreams of being there and riding on a surf-board with suitable waves. Because of the dynamic waves, a surfing competition takes place at Durban Beach each year. This means that you can see people who are the most experts at this exciting sport and how their innovation develops the skill of all surfers are. It does not matter if you are not good at surfing or even if you have never done it before. There are a lot of teachers who devote their time to teach you even how to bring a surf-board from the dry ground out to the sea, Besides the great surfing, the price are great too, which is attractive to student who travel.
When you consider a space to dwell, an unavoidable thing to think about is the cost of living. You will feel a little bit relieved paying for anything in Durban because the prices there are not too high. In my experience, for one night in dormitory I paid just 10$. When I extended my stay to 10 days, I spent only 90$ because they gave me a discount. Moreover, you can enjoy a dance club without needing too much money. The entrance fee was 2$ one place I entered. In addition, the prices on drinking were almost nothing if it compared to South Korea. The price of a bottle of whiskey price was 10$ there but I would have to pay more than 50$ to buy one bottle of whiskey in South Korea. Not only was cost of living the people there were also so kind.
South Africans in Durban are sympathetic when they meet tourists. When I went to a beach cafeteria, I did not have any idea where I should visit and I asked someone who was next to me and he guided me to some fantastic place called Usaka Park. He told me about the park and enjoyed the time with me. Population in Durban are so outgoing. When I learned surfing, the board which I rented was broken by my fault, but they did not mention anything about it. In fact, they did not even charge me for damage.
For these reason, if I could spend a year in any city, I would surely choose Durban. Surfing is one of the most interesting sports for me. In addition, I will not need to worry about money too much. Furthermore, I will meet fantastic people.
