A lot of controversy exists overh wheather investing in roads and highways are better than public transportation or not. Although I admit the advantages of improving roads and highways, I strongly believe that goverments should spend money on public transportation. The reason behind this is that it will help the environment better. In additon, it also make people healthy.
To begin with, funding on public transportaiton is beneficial because it has a postivie infulence on the environment. As we all know, harmful chemicals from cars make the air contaminated severely. On the other hand, public transportation makes less polution than cars relatively. The Seoul,a capital of Korea, is the one of the best examples that demonstrate this point. The goverment of this city has decided to spend its money on increasing the amount of public transportation and improve the quality of it in order to make it releases more less pollution substances. The consequences of this policy was just amazing. The amount of CO2 in air has cleary decreased about 42%. This helps to relieve the Urban heat island phenomenan. And also, It have been genuinly helpful the effort to reduce Global warming. As this example represent, goverment can reap numerous benefits from this policy.
On top of that, investigation of public transportation is advatnageous because it makes people healthy. These days, a lot of respiratory and ear dieases are occured in many people. This is because noises and polluted air from cars damaged their organs seriously. For example, one city in Japan evidently show the detriment of investing in roads and highways. During roads were installing, many harmful materials relieved in the conswtruction cite. Moreover, it also happend in the roads. As more roads were constructed, more cars appeared in the roads. This leads mamy residents' helath detrimented. Many suffered from respartory disease. This plainly highlights the disadvantage of investing on roads and highways.
On the whold, It is beneficial to spend money on improving public transportaitons. This is because it helps both environment and health. It is wise for goverments to consider the effects of the policy. Afterh this, investing on public transportaition is surely more beneficial.
