The question of weather to live in a city or small town is an old one. Some people may think cities are too crowded and busy for them to live in. However, given the choice where to live between a city and a suburb area, I will choose to live in a city without hesitation. That is because, I can get better education and enjoy more.
To begin with, usually cities have better educational facilities than countries. Not only renowned universities and high schools, but also highly evaluated private educational institutes are located in big cities. In Korea, where I live, many people regard one's educational attainment as a crucial thing. And the higher one is educated, the better people will treat him or she. Thus, Living in a city with favorable educational environment will lead me to a successful life in the future. For instance, my uncle was living in a suburb with her wife and three children. His children were quite intelligent and clever compared to other students in their school. However, since there were no private academies and the school's system was poor, they could not find way to meet good teacher. As a result, they were not able to improve their intellect. Thus, many reputable universities in big cities refused to accept them. Although they have graduated from their colleges, they still can not find their jobs. On the other hand, my sister graduated from respectable foreign language high school, which led her to enter the most honorable university in Korea. Once she graduated from the school she got a work at a large company.
In addition, a city has more things to enjoy. As a youngster, I like going to the movies, have fun at an amusement park and shopping at a department store. Those are things that I do when I'm stressed out and it is a relief that I live near to such relishing facilities. When I was a junior-high school student, my parents let me go to my grandmother's house in a countryside for a month. At first, I was excited for having chance to experience new environment in an unfamiliar place. But after just a week, I realized that I was bored. I was craving for going to a swimming pool and eating palatable dishes at a famous restaurant.
On the whole, I am in favor of living in a big city as I value academic accomplishment and like entertainment facilities. You know, you may agree that fancy and bright lights from a city at night make you excited and delighted, whereas country's silence is somewhat depressing.
