Dear College President,
Recently, while many countries are experiencing economic crisis and education fee is getting higher,
receiving six college credits without cost can reduce parents' burden. However, students need much more credits to graduate. So this can be temporate solution. Then offering liberal arts majors a Master's degree in Education at no cost could be permanent one.
From my prospective, educational chance should be equal for every single student and offering only 6 credits couldn't give chance some students who want to enter a college, but don't haver enough money. For example, in my country, even though they get high KSAT score, Korean SAT, some students couldn't enter a school because their parents couldn't support their tuition fee. whenever I see this situation, I don't feel confortable and I wished that a college would offer more scholarships and other opportunities. Then this suggestion is very interesting.
In addition, when they are in secondary school, tutoring students college studies could be challenging for them because there are other subjects, including English, mathmatics, science and I believe it is enough for them. They prepare National College Entrance Exam, SAT, ACT and so on and many of them have a hard time to study homework from school and institutes. If they do other things, they could be exhausted.
Overall, to offer more chances for poor students and not to give more studies, I wish you take my idea.
Sincerely, |
