People always try to find happiness, and believe that money will bring it. They think the higher the salary is, the more happiness they get. However, in my opinion, evon though the salary is relatively low, being happy with their professions give them energy and motivation on doing their jobs. In this sense, finding satisfying position is more important than finding lucrative positions.
What brings happiness with their jobs is not money. Of course, money is essential in our lives, because money can buy cars, houses, food, and even well-taylored clothes. However, we cannot say that these products make us happy with our jobs. One of my friends had a father with hogh position and a salary, but he used to say that his father always got home fully exhausted and depressed, complaining about his company affairs. Finally he quit his job and started his own catering business, and it was satisfactory for him.
Just like the very case stated above, people feel motivated if they are passionate on their careers. It is clear that motivation brings power, which leads people to eventually succeed on their jobs. An example of this is of Steve Jobs at Apple Computers. Steve was once a student of Stanford University, but he quit his school to learn what he yearned for, which is Caligraphy. His passion over his life made him teh CEO of the world's greatest computer industry company which products have a beautiful GUI.
That we are living in the world of currency might lake us think of money, and a lot of people consider the amount of salary they would get. But as far as we feel tired and don't enjoy our own careers, happiness would not come as we expect. We should keep in mind that being happy with a job is much more important than having a high salary. |
