As society is getting developed, Technology becomes a essential tool to survive in the modern world. Thus, many people in modern society think that the technology is necessary tool and means to live in the world. However, some people disagree that technology makes people more dull compared with the past. They believe that the most people who live in the modern society do not think critically and carefully about how to maintain the society or how to develop the society. I agree that technology arouses negative effects more than positive effects.
First of all, The technology has people more dull and unthinking. As technology is getting developed, many people just heavily depend on the capacity of that. Also they are not likely to think about for peace of mankind or profound discussion for human beings. Naturally, They are likely to adapt order of previous society. A. Gramci who is one of influential sociologists asserts that the modern men are same "training gorilla". It means that modern men do not think critically against order of the society. In addition, another a prominent philosopher, A. N. Whitehead insists, in his book, that the function of reason is not development of adapting ability but a capacity of changing of the world or logic. Thus, the society which was consisted of various technologies makes people dull and it followed negative effects rather than positive ones.
On the top of that, high technology makes many people alienated. As technology is getting developed, information gap or technology division is expanded. In order words, the modern and high technology could be controlled by a few people. Naturally, most people who could not manage the technology alienated by them. Also the division of information could be generated a relation between those who have many information and many people who do not have information. Thus, the technology makes people more alienated.
In conclusion, some people insist that technology makes people more convenient. However, I do not agree the assertion. This is because, first the technology makes people dull, second, the high technology has people alienated.
