It is debatable issue whether focusing on one project is better than doing multiple works simultaneously. Some people assert that working multiply is better because people can easily get bored when they do one thing for ling time. However, regardless of what opponents argue, my personal takes on the matter is that doing one project completely and then begin to do another project is better. I can list a number of reasons, but I will limit my discussion to two of the most important points.
To begin with, when I’m doing one thing, I can concentrate to do it and make target more clearly. To finish one project, we should make an effort to practices and focus on the results with certain aiming. If you try to do many things with many purposes and due dates at once, you might not be able to do even one thing perfectly. It should be very ineffective processes. For example, when I took a semester off from my university, I plan to do a diet, internship, learning jazz dance, and studying TOEFL at the same time. At first, I did my best but I felt it is too much for me and I was exhausted. At the end of the taking off period, I checked my goals which I made at the beginning of the term. I didn’t find anything I achieved my aim. Then, I realized I should have finished one thing first and then tried to do another.
On top of that, the second reason I would like to bring to the light is that I easily be confused when I do multiple works at one time. For example, when I worked at my company last year, I worked on three projects simultaneously. One day, my business partner asked me to send a participants list which should be secret in other companies, so I sent it. A few minutes later, I realized I sent it a wrong company which was working with me for another project. If I tried to do one thing completely and then begin to do another, I would not be confused and make a mistake.
To sum up, when I work on one project, I can concentrate to do it with a clear aim. Also, when I do many things at the same time I am easily confused and make a mistake. In this regard I believe it is better to do one thing completely and then begin to do another project than multiple projects simultaneously.
