Some people believe that a college or university education should be available only to good students. They usually think it that way because university or college is not for all the good and bad students. In spite of this reason, I believe that a college or university education should be available to all students. Here are some reasons to explain my opinion.
First of all, all students have the right to be educated. Although they didn't have good grades in their high school years, if they have passion to study, they should get the opportunity of going into college. There are many students who wander during their high school years. They may have not try their best during given time. However, just because of that, if they don't have anymore right to be educated, it is unfair. Think of only few people are in green light, it is very unfair.
Secondly, people shouldn't judge students by their high school scores only. This is because at that time they could have been wandering about their course. In addition, they could do better than in high school, if they regret the way they have been studying. They should have the chance to cover their mistakes before. However, there is only college or university for them available. Therefore, they will do their best for their last chance to cover their mistakes.
Lastly, if it is available, they can choose to go or not. This is the actual meaning of 'available'. You don't really have to, but can do. As matter of fact, if the university or college is available for everyone, the one who thinks that he can do good in college will be the one coming. This tells that they have the passion of studying more. For example, if a student hadn't done well in his high school, and if he don't have anymore opportunity to cover his mistakes, he will be frustrated. However, if he has another chance to cover his mistakes, he will do his best.
The reasons I believe that a college or university education should be available to all students are everyone has right to be educated, nobody should judge students by their high school scores only, and being able to choose are the right for them. |
