There is no dout that advertisements have improved our lives in various ways. However, people should realize that advertisements can sometimes make our lives very inefficient. Exaggerative advertisements deceive customers and too much advertisements lead to invasion of privacy.
First of all, the advertisements that are overstated can be very deceptive. To expain, customers who watched exaggerative advertisements which overstated the ability of the product, can be falsely enticed to spend money on it. For example, when I went to Mcdonalds, I saw the pictures of juicy and gigantic hamburgers with fresh vegetables and decided to get one of them for dinner. However, when I actually got the hamburger, I was very dissapointed because the burger totally looked different. It was not as juicy and gigantic as the picture. Therefore, people should not overly dependent on advertisements when choosing the products that they are going to purchase.
Second, too much advertisements result in invasion of privacy. To explain, the invasion of privacy is evident when people have to see the advertisements when they actually do not want to. For instance, when people surf on the internet, they always face with sudden pop up advertisements which fill up the screen. These types of advertisements lag or sometimes freeze computers. Therefore, reckless advertisements are a true case of privacy invasion.
To conclude, advertisemetns can be very inefficent for our lives when they overtate and invade privacy. Therefore, I disagree with the idea that advertisements have improved our lives.
