Dear Curriculum Committee,
Nowadays, people call the world as the global village. It means that they can go anywhere they want to visit easily with airplain, train etc, and they can also communicate with people from all over the world quickly with telephone, internet and so on.
In this term, while observing worthier countries by mass communication such as T.V., poor countries' people have begun to respect them and immigrate. However, they still have a big language problem. To solve this problem, The Board of Education need to focus on how to solve this problem efficiently. From my prospective, I strongly believe that creating an English immersion program in which core courses would be taught entirely in English is more effective.
In my case, I have two korean friends who studied at U.S. One studied a lot at library and used to meet korean friends to reduce stress. Of course, he studied at a private institute and speaked with foreign friends, but he never met them after classes. The other friend always hanged out with foreign friends and lived with other countries' room mates. In the end, whereas the former improved his English little, the latter improved that a lot. I was surprised.
After that, I have thought that what is the most important to improve English is to speak English as manytimes as people can. I think other language won't be different.
Sincerely,
