Some people prefer to work for a large company. Others prefer to work for a small company. Which would you prefer?
Since the industrial revolution happend, many new companies have appeared. People have developed a diverse business from many areas such of an electronics, manufacture, construction and service industry. According to the appearance of diverse businesses, various sizes of companies from conglomerate to small companies came out. Some people prefer to work in a small company because of its small size brings intimate relationships among colleagues. However, I prefer to work for a big company, because it gives more convenient working environment and ensures good benefits.
First, a big company’s working system is stable and well organized. Thanks to long period of it’s successful in business, computing system and standardized documents are developed. Moreover, the well divided duties make people concentrate on their own responsibility instead of spending chores or other extra jobs can be happen in the office. For example, when I worked in the one of famous worldwide hotel branch, there are many divisions according to each of tasks should be in a company. So when I just join the team, the computer technique team installed new software and intra-net for inner communication of the company and any other programs needing to work efficiently, such as fire wall, Microsoft office programs and PTP and etc.
This allows people work professionally to their part, because staffs work not only for them but also other colleagues in the office.
Secondly, big companies provide good salary and benefits. Most of big company pursue of big profit through their business. To compensate for their employee’s efforts, they have good benefit system. For example, big companies have a day-care center for working mom and wellness center, cafeteria in the company. So employees improve their health using the center and stop by to see their baby in a break time. Also as a system, big companies have good systems; such as, maternity leave, sick leave, monthly day off, annual paid vacation and performance-based bonus in the end of year. Those systems make low the turnover rate of people and make workers commit to their company with royalty and proud. On other hands, small companies usually do not have any good systematic tools for their employee because lack of enough financial support from their company.
In conclusion, the society is getting complex and people are busier than the past years. They want to prefer to work a company which can provide staff’s needs like big companies are doing. So I prefer to work a big business company, it helps me to focus my own duty and work without extra concern to other things. And it enables to work employees with proud and satisfaction for their company.
