When it comes to books, it is interesting issue whether students will no longer use printed books in the near future. Regarding this issue, I disagree with the statement for following reasons.
First of all, many students prefer paper books to alternatives of books. Even though most of people have computers which could be alternatives of books, many students insist that the computers are uncomfortable to study text books, because it makes their eyes more tired and it is hard to take a note. According to the recent survey conducted by British Education Research Institute, 89 % of students print out the reading material to study even though it is available to read on computer.
Second, it is impossible all school has enough computers for every student. To explain, every student should have more than one alternative device for books such as computer or e-book to not use the printed books. However, not all can have those expensive devices and also the schools cannot provide those. Some schools in rural area barely have any computer for their students. For example, the Korean times report that 20% of schools do not have any computer because of their financial situation.
All things considered, I would say that printed books will be used by students in a near future. That is because most of students prefer paper book to study and not all are afford for alternative device. For these reasons, many people say that printed book still has very important position in this society.
