Some people may argue that working in a small company is more beneficial than working in a huge company. However, I have a different idea. I think that having a job in a big company can provides more advantages.
To begin with, people who are employed in a large company generally receive higher salaries by comparison with those in a small company. The financial structure of large corporate is usually stronger and they tend to give higher salaries. For instance, my brother has been working in a tiny firm since about five years ago. Even though he has been promoted, his salaries have not been changed much. On the contrary, my friend who found a job in a global company a couple of years ago. While working in the company, he has been receiving more money than my brother and he even earns an extra bonus when he achieves excellent results. This is because the company is quite huge enough to afford that. Normally big companies are not influenced by economic crisis because they have ability to cope with that.
In addition, having a job in a large company is more beneficial because they generally provide a variety of opportunities to build up a career. For example, global companies such as Samsung, LG send their talented employees abroad so they could learn the customs and languages of other nations. This is not only valuable for the companies themselves but also helpful for the members of the companies. Furthermore, when people have those working experiences, it will be helpful for them to expand their future career paths. This benefit is hard to come by if one works in a small company because there are fewer opportunities. Thus, I strongly believe that working in a big firm has more merits than getting a job in a tiny company.
To sum up, it is more profitable to work for a global company than for a small company. People would have more possibility to receive high salaries as well as the chances to build up a successful career path.
